CVM University is a multi-faculty university and committed for Research and Innovation in line with NEP 2020 Mandate. Major research domains are:

– Geospatial Technology
– Socio-Economic, Strategic Management and Policy Matters.
For carrying out the research in the above domains, the state of the art laboratories are established.
AICTE sponsored IDEA labs, Gujarat Government supported Student Start-ups and Innovation Centres, PARAM- Super Computing Facilities under NSM Scheme of Government of India have been established.
Available facilities at SICART (Sophisticated Instrumentation Centre for Applied Research & Testing) – a sister Institute of Charutar Vidya Mandal having Sophisticated Instruments worth more than 50 Crores is used for an analytical testing, analysis and research.
All research activities are centrally co-ordinated and promoted by the Research Cell of CVM University.
FDP, STTP, Conferences, Workshops, Webinars and Seminars are frequently organised for research promotion. Supporting and enabling research policy and consultancy policy are prepared for boosting research eco-system.
Research @ CVM University is supported by Industries and Government agencies like ISRO, DST, UGC, AICTE, DBT, GUJCOST, GSBTM, IE(India), CSIR, SERB, MOFPI and ISHRAE Student Project Grant(ISPG).
At present, 250+ Research Scholars are enrolled and carrying out research work under able guidance of 150+ Research Supervisors/CVM Faculty Team.
